In June, 2021, UCG achieved the Educate & Celebrate PRIDE in Inclusion Bronze Award. Over the course of several months in the spring and summer terms, the EDI Team worked with Educate & Celebrate to review and improve UCG’s support of the LGBTQ+ community in five core areas: Training, Policy, Curriculum, Environment, and Community. The process included two training sessions for staff, a staff and student survey, an update to UCG policies, new LGBTQ+ books for the LRC, and displaying inclusive greetings for students and visitors. 

A big contribution to the evidence provided for the award came from Q+, which was successfully revived in 2020.
