Student Stylists Participate in London Fashion Week

Four talented hair stylists from the College of North West London have participated in London Fashion Week 2022.

Students Yorida Tsegay, Julie Bravo, Muzhda Khorrami, and Nesreen Qrich provided hair styling to models as they prepared for the catwalk at the world-famous festival of fashion.

The creative and dedicated students impressed the organisers with the flair, skill, and ability to work in a high pressure environment at the event on Saturday 18 February.

London Fashion Week runs from 18 February to 22 February and celebrates the creativity, innovation, and culture that makes the capital such an exciting place to work, live, and study.

The United Colleges Group is proud of all its students who have participated in London Fashion Week and sends its congratulations to them for making the most of the opportunity. The group also sends its thanks to the organisers of London Fashion Week for offering this valuable experience to its students and looks forward to continuing to work with them as important partners in the future.

Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing student, Julie Bravo, said:

“London Fashion Week was an amazing opportunity to see how everything works and to come together to put on an amazing show. I learned how to deal with the pressure of time keeping, how to work with another team, and about the importance of constantly communicating so the models knew where to go next. All I can say is thank you to Angel for believing in us, encouraging us, and for even coming on the day to give us all a hug - it meant so much to us.”

Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing student, Muzhda Khorrami, said:

“Being part of London Fashion Week was amazing. I really enjoyed the experience, which allowed me to put what I’ve learned at college into practice. The organisers were great; they let us work right next to the professional stylists which was really useful and allowed me to learn a lot.”

Stephen Davis, Group Principal and CEO of the United Colleges Group, said: “London Fashion Week is a key date in our wonderful city’s cultural calendar and I’m thrilled to see some of our talented students taking part at this high level. Real, practical experience combined with classroom learning is an excellent way to prepare for a rewarding future career and taking part in this kind of event is a key element of that winning combination. I want to thank our friends and colleagues at London Fashion Week for making this possible for our students.”
