130 Years of the College of North West London

This year, the College of North West London turns 130 years old and we’re inviting everyone to join in as we celebrate this milestone.

From our origins as Willesden Polytechnic in 1891 to our current partnership with City of Westminster College in the United Colleges Group, we are proud to say that we have been a constant part of learning and teaching in North West London.

Having been part of our wonderful community for the last 130 years, we’ve seen our college grow to become the welcoming, diverse, optimistic, and outward-looking further education institution that we’re all proud to be part of today.

Throughout this anniversary year, we’ll be looking back on where we’ve come from, celebrate where we are now, and will raise our sights to the horizon with anticipation about where we’re going in the future.

At the heart of this anniversary celebration will be our evening of celebration and prize-giving event that will take place on March 31 in our Willesden Campus. We’ll be inviting students, staff, and familiar faces from our college’s past to come celebrate with us.

We’re also delighted to be working with Brent Museum and Archives to put together an amazing collection of artifacts, curios, and other items that document our college’s proud history of learning and teaching.

We’re also inviting you to get in touch with us to help us mark this important occasion.

Whether you’re a staff member, current or past student, or have family or friends who studied with us – we want to hear from you.

If you’d like to share a story, please get in touch with our PR company, Halogen Communications on 0131 202 0120 or email Alan Grant (alan@halogencom.com).

We look forward to hearing from you and making this anniversary celebration one to remember.
