The College of North West London had the pleasure of hosting the inaugural Best Student Awards in collaboration with MNM Property Services on 29th June.
Lecturers from Engineering, Construction & the Built Environment nominated students in Painting & Decorating, Plumbing, Gas, Electrical and Carpentry to be awarded with the prestigious 2022 Best Student Award in recognition of their achievements this academic year, and to encourage them onto the next step of their journey.
George Panteli, Managing Director of MNM Property Services and ex-student approached CNWL teamed up to host the Best Student Awards to inspire “students to excel in their chosen profession” and help them to recognise that on completion of their course, it is not the end, but the beginning of their journey into successful careers.
This was Alan and George’s way to say thank you to the college for helping them achieve their aspirations. At the Award Ceremony Alan Davison, who is also an ex-student represented MNM went on to explain that he took his OND and HND in Building Studies at Willesden College of Technology, the predecessor to CNWL.
From this he moved on to a day-release course when he took his RICS exams and then became a Chartered Building Surveyor. He said: “I know from personal experience that an award like this will help the students when leaving college in their final year”.
Stephen Davis, Group Principal and CEO of the United Colleges Group, said: “All of us at College of North West London, and across our group, are delighted to host the very first Best Student Awards. I would like to extend our thanks to George and Alan an MNM for their inspiration and involvement, and offer the winners and everyone involved my congratulations.”
