There is a huge demand for training courses to keep up with the new treatments and techniques constantly coming to the beauty market. Our range and variety of courses will prepare you with the technical skills and knowledge you will need to work in the beauty industry or maybe even set up your own business. A multi-million pound industry; it offers the opportunity to seek work in a wide variety of different settings such as hotels, cruise ships, high street shops and many more.

  • Provide body electrical treatments. 
  • Provide facial electrical treatments 
  • Provide body massage treatments 
  • Provide electrical epilation treatments 
  • Monitor procedures to safely control work operations. 
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities. 
  • Provide Indian head massage 

Work experience is a requirement of the course in which you should be in a salon at least one day a week 

Competition entry and visits are a compulsory part of the course which enables students to build on their skills, employability, industrial experience and knowledge of the world at work.

You will need to purchase a beauty uniform approx £30. Trips and additional training approximately £275.  Concessions are available to assist with the costs based on individual circumstances .  

How is the course taught?

You will be taught in our fully equipped salons and practice your skills and techniques on members of the public. Theory sessions will be classroom based. The salon is open for business during term time and offers you the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills from Reception duties to communication skills.

What support is available?

Our qualified tutors will support and guide you in the classrooms/workshops and through tutorials as they help you to develop the skills and techniques required in industry. Learning Support is also available for those with learning difficulties/disabilities; please let us know on application if you require this service. What social activities can I take part in?

We offer a programme of social and sports activities to all our students; full information is available from the Student Room at your centre of study. Student rooms are available for those who want to play games, meet up with friends or just chill.

What facilities and resources are available?

A range of snacks, hot and cold foods are available to purchase in the canteen and café facilities, as well as vending machines. Halal meat and washing facilities are available at both centres. We have Quiet Rooms for those preferring to reflect. LRCs (libraries) are available at both centres, fully equipped with a wide range of learning materials and qualified friendly staff on hand to support you.

What else should I know?

Annually we take part in a range of national and regional competitions in a wide range of subject areas for those keen to show off the skills they have gained on their courses. Competition entry is not compulsory and does not apply to all subject areas; please ask your tutor if it applies to your course.
