CNWL students sow seeds for the future

Supported Learning students from the College of North West London are enjoying seeing the fruits of their labour after a special summer garden project.

Our CNWL learners — some of whom had never previously participated in any types of gardening before — were only too happy to get their hands dirty and take part in creating their very own super students’ garden polytunnel.

Under the amazing guidance of Nicola McLean, Assistant Principal, Student Support Services and Supported Learning, the students planted seeds from a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, which included strawberries, watermelons and various berries, as well as cherry and garden delight tomatoes, snack cucumbers, chilli peppers, bell peppers, peppermint, basil and lettuce.

Well done to everyone who took part and a special thank you to Nicola for her incredible support throughout the project!
