What are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, for people looking for a new role or job opportunity. You will be offered an interview with an employer once you’ve completed your course. The bootcamps are free for eligible Londoners aged 19+ or co-funded for employers looking to upskill staff. If you are claiming Universal Credit, you can still apply and keep receiving your benefits during your training.

What You Will Learn

This programme provides candidates practical experience in plant machinery maintenance, the opportunity to earn a CSCS card, and foundational training in welding skills.

Training combines classroom learning with practical sessions and onsite visits to employers’ premises, offering hands-on experience in the world of plant fitting and maintenance.
