These Engineering Welding Skills courses are aimed at adult learners and young learners with a keen interest in welding.

These Welding Skills courses are aimed at learners with a keen interest in welding who wish to acquire skills at Level 1, 2 or 3. These three courses will run at the same time and students will be assessed to place them at the correct level in order to achieve a City & Guilds qualification.

The College offers 2 types of welding programmes:

  1. There are 2 levels and level 3 in Fabrication and Welding (Fulltime)
  2. City & Guilds short course. (Part time)
  3. Advance Welding 

Three pathways are available at Level 1 and Level 2 (MMA, MIG/MAG and TIG).
Students will select the most appropriate pathway and level for their requirements, and will be assessed on their experience and ability by their tutor at the start of the course.

Time & Dates

Short courses run 4 times throughout the year and run for 8 weeks.

  • Day class: Mondays 9am – 3pm
  • Evening class: Tuesdays & Wednesdays 6pm – 8:30pm
  • September to November 2024
  • November 2024 to January 2025
  • January to March 2025
