Student plumbers showcase skills in capital competition

College of North West London (CNWL) Plumbing students recently took part in a London-wide competition held at the Willesden Campus.

The students were set out a task, where they had to work from a drawing and mark out where the pipework would go on the wall and then they installed the copper frame.

This allowed them to showcase what they have learned on their Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Plumbing.

The competition was organised by the Society of Public Health Engineers (SoPHE) — and CNWL also had students competing in the Level 1 and 2 competitions at Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest at the same time.

James Crowley, Curriculum Manager — Plumbing, Gas and RAC, said:This was a great event for our students and allowed them to demonstrate their skills against learners from other London FE colleges.”
