The T-Level is a 2 year programme that offers an attractive alternative to A Levels and Apprenticeships. The T-Level in Digital Production Design and Development offers a combination of classroom theory, practical learning and a minimum of 315 hours of industry placements with an employer to make sure you have a real experience of the work place. With 80% classwork, and 20% real work experience you'll leave with the skills and experience employers demand.

Key features of the T Level Industry Placement:

You will spend a minimum of 315 hours in the workplace with an external employer. The placement will be a good fit with your course, meaning you’ll be able to learn the relevant technical skills for the digital sector, in this case, software development. Part-time working hours can be counted towards your placement hours if it is in the digital /software development area.

  • Is there additional work required by the student?
    Assessment will include an exam, employer-set project and a synoptic assessment. To complete your placement, you must: Work directly for an external employer Demonstrate sufficient progress towards your learning goals as set by your employer Complete the minimum number of hours and placement criteria Maintain a booklet during your placement to log activities and hours worked Get a positive performance appraisal from your employer at the end of the placement and receive a visit from the work experience co-ordinator.
  • What are the Entry Requirements?
    GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 5 or above; and at least three other GCSE qualifications at grade 4 or above OR equivalent vocational qualification in a related discipline at level 2 with a minimum Merit grade.
